Class Policies

Please review the following policies before registering your student for Tropical Day Studio art classes. By registering, families agree to follow these policies.

Tuition

Monthly tuition is $185 per student.

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and reserves your student's place in their scheduled class.

Tuition is paid monthly for the duration of enrollment.

Sibling Discount

Families enrolling multiple siblings receive a discounted monthly tuition rate.

First student: $185/month
Each additional sibling: $170/month

The sibling discount applies to siblings enrolled in Tropical Day Studio classes.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Monthly tuition is non-refundable and cannot be canceled once the monthly payment has been submitted.

Families who choose not to continue enrollment for the following month must provide written notice at least two weeks before the next month's tuition payment is due.

Providing notice allows Tropical Day Studio to open the student's spot to another family.

Attendance & Missed Classes

Students are expected to attend their scheduled classes consistently.

Because class projects and instruction are planned as part of an ongoing curriculum, make-up classes are not offered for missed classes.

Please plan family vacations and other activities around the published class calendar whenever possible.

Supplies

Students are required to bring a sketchbook to class. All other art supplies are provided by Tropical Day Studio.

Health & Allergy Policy

The health and safety of our students is a priority at Tropical Day Studio. Parents and guardians are responsible for informing the studio of any known allergies, sensitivities, medical considerations, or other health concerns that may affect their child’s participation in art classes.

Because students may work with a variety of materials, including paints, clay, adhesives, and other art supplies, Tropical Day Studio cannot guarantee that all materials will be free from specific allergens. Parents are encouraged to contact the studio with any concerns before registering.

Students who are experiencing a contagious illness, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms that may prevent them from safely participating in class should remain home until they are well enough to return.

Please notify Tropical Day Studio of any new health or allergy concerns as soon as they arise so that we can help provide a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

Studio Expectations

Tropical Day Studio is a creative and welcoming space where students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow as artists. To help create a positive experience for everyone, students are expected to follow these studio guidelines:

๐ŸŽจ Respect Others

Students should treat the instructor, fellow students, and their artwork with kindness and respect. Everyone is encouraged to share ideas, appreciate different artistic styles, and allow others to create without interruption.

๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ Respect the Studio & Materials

Students are expected to use art supplies, tools, furniture, and studio equipment responsibly and as instructed. Students should clean their workspace and return materials to their proper place at the end of class.

๐Ÿ‘‚ Listen & Participate

Students should listen during demonstrations and follow safety instructions when using art materials or tools. Students are encouraged to participate, ask questions, and try new techniques.

๐Ÿ’ก Creativity is Encouraged

There is no single "right" way to be an artist. Students are encouraged to make creative choices, experiment with techniques, and develop their own artistic voice while learning the skills being taught.

๐ŸŒฑ Growth Over Perfection

Mistakes are part of the creative process! Students are encouraged to be patient with themselves, try new things, and view challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.

๐Ÿงน Leave It Better Than You Found It

Students are responsible for helping keep the studio clean and organized. Cleaning up is part of the creative process and helps ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable space to work.

โค๏ธ Our Goal

At Tropical Day Studio, we want every student to feel welcome, capable, and proud to be an artist. By working together and following these expectations, we can create a studio where everyone has the opportunity to learn, create, and grow.
